rspell

I am having trouble installing the latest production build on OS X. Running 10.7.5. When I try to mount the dmg it fails with a “no mountable file systems” error.

Researching that error someone suggested a possible download error. I downloaded the image again, same result. The checksums also don't match.

Build 13.0.509 works and I am fine with that version.

I just thought that I would a) see if others have a similar issue and b) get more education if someone is familiar with this issue and a solution.

I hope that someone else finds this useful. I finally had an excuse to play with Automator. Unfortunately this is only for OS X, but as a previous poster mentioned it would be very easy to create something like this in Python (or your scripting language of choice)

Fixed:

The solution, I am not sure why, was to run Houdini FX for the first time - select the Apprentice license.

This resulted in an additional license in the License Manager (Houdini Master). After that I was able to render using the process outlined above in both Houdini and Houdini FX.

I guess this will all begin to make more sense as I get deeper into the H.
