Border Polygons to Curve 2014年11月30日2:43

Hi guys,
I am learning the software and going about a personal project, incorporating stuff i learn from tutorials and personal discoveries.
I have a problem, i cannot figure out how to convert a border edge polygons to a continuous curve.(see image)

I tried using Convert Sop, but it instead converted each polygon to individual surface(pretty cool effect tho>) )
PolySpline - also produces the same result as convert,

If anyone knows a SOP i need, or if you could share your approach for this - that would be great!
Thanks
-stas

Software Configuration 2013年5月18日9:44

Hello guys, this is my first post here, i am learning H, and having lots of fun discovering new tool and features. I have noticed over time that my view-port and application stability is pretty unreliable, and i don't think that this has something to do with my hardware, here is a brief spec-sheet:

  • cpu - i7 6core(hyper) @ 4.25Ghz
    ram - 32GB DDR3
gpu - Quadro K5000 (latest Nvidia Driver)
    hdd - raid0 @ 10K/rpm

What happens sometimes, is when i am working with geometry of almost any kind, i sometimes cannot perform selection of the components, they are not being update in the view-port, and being new to H, i am not sure how to handle this. Another issue that comes up, after performing a series of SOPs, regardless of what my display is set to (Flat Shaded, Wire-frame, etc), objects either being displayed in grayed-out wire-frame or completely disappear.
So far, the “solution” that found is to restart Houdini, which is very annoying.
I am thinking that this is mainly due to the way my Video Card is configured, which at the moment running all STOCK parameters. If anyone has a good configuration that can be shared or a suggestion for settings, please post here.
