Dude that was probly the best tute on beginning houdini Ive seen so far.
Ive previously tried this engine before but found it too difficult to grasp, Now thanks to you Im going to give it another crack.

I love this, but I got totally stuck when you deleted the geometry node.
I got it in the end (with a bit of help!), but if its to be deleted, why does it need to be made in the first place?
Now, on to the next part!

when i open my Houdini the objects dont show up, what i need to do? what i dindt did?

That seems strange, Boolean nodes are one of the big new features of version 16!

Have you JUST opened it? If so there are no objects in the workspace, you have to put them there. That is done in a number of ways, but if you are watching this tutorial you will see one way of using nodes to to it.
@JohnHalpin:
If you watch closely (I missed this too) you will see that he makes a "Geometry Node" then double clicks it to get inside of it. Once he does this the Boolean node becomes available (just hit TAB and start typing Boolean).
After entering the node he deletes it, Im not clear on why, but I think its simply to keep things tidy (its not gone, you just dont need the little icon representing the node itself).
So do this:
1) Make a Geometry Node.
2) Double Click it.
3) Delete it.
4) Hit Tab and select Boolean.
5) Continue with the rest of the tutorial.

Hey!
At 18:00 when you work with the boxes. How can I set the second box to form the wire frame? I can only view one box at a time, but the second box does not have a wire frame when I only view the first box.

The install process was most confusing.
I downloaded the installer (I picked the newer "launcher"). I was then prompted to restart my machine to complete the process. No Houdini icons in the Start menu, and no shortcuts on the desktop.
I double-clicked the installer / launcher again. This time, I got both of the aforementioned things. But...
I am now presented with two choices: Production Build and Daily Build. What the hey does this mean??? There's no explanation.
