Hi a while back I thought I saw an option where you could bring an external web site into the UI in Houdini so that you could have a tutorial playing in the top right of the UI as you work. Is this correct?

Yes, Houdini's help browser is actually a web browser, so just enter the URL of the tutorial that you want.

Hi thanks for the comment, I tried putting the URL in the help but Im not looking to open a new window, im almost sure i saw a guy open a web tutorial and have it positioned in the top right of Houdini and just have the movie play within the actual interface… any ideas?

The help can be embedded in a pane tab as well as a floating window. Either click the (?) button in the upper right corner of the main window, or click the (+) button next to any pane's tab list, and select New Pane Type > Help Browser.

Unless you are on the Mac - we don't have an embedded browser in the Mac version of Houdini….
