Hi guys,
I'm trying to export a volume to a i3d file and read it back in with the isosurface SOP.
The export works well but when I import the i3d file the volume is not visualized in the viewport. There is a bounding box and also in the details view you see the volume but you can't see it in the viewport.

Does anybody have a suggestion where to look?

thx

PS: Also when I open the hip file I get an error from the geo2i3d rop node. Don't know why this happens also.

I had this problem a while ago. I was using “3D Texture Generator” ROP for this, but then i manually recreated 3D Texture Generator and everything start working as it should.

Hi Alex, I don't know if I'm following.
But do you mean to recreate the goe2i3d HDA manually or the “3D Texture Generator” ROP itself?

Do you have any other suggestions or examples?
thx

ok, I found it and got it to work.
I missed the filename and primnum references.
i3d exports are up and running.

Cheers
