Hello

I thought this would be a rather simple task to do, however, being new to Houdini, I am finding very difficult to have a ball go across the screen where i can either accelerate it or decelerate from one position to another. i want to be able to change rate of acceleration / deceleration (to set up some test shots)

does anybody have a simple solution to do this in houdini?

thanks

Is this animation or simulation? Not a clue.

I am guessing animation so this means the channel editor.

Easiest way is to set keys at the in and out frames by posing your geometry and hit the “k” key to set keys on that object's animatable parameters.

Next hold down shift and click on the green parms with key frames. The default function should be bezier() which gives you both slopes and acceleration handles. Just drag them about to get your animation.

To break any part of a key, select it in the channel editor and hit the t key to untie. To re-tie, select the untied component and hit t again.

Have a look at the Houdini help on animation.
There's at least one school like the old school!
