Hello all

Industrial Light & Magic and Weta Digital announce the release of OpenEXR 2.0. (according to the ILM facebook group)?

When do you think EXR 2.0 will be active in Houdini?

Yeah I hope it's ASAP! Really want to get to grips with the deep compositing workflow.

you can start deep compositing before houdini implements openexr2. just save out your dcms as rats and SYmek's rat4nuke will allow you to use all of the deepcomp nodes in nuke with them. ive used it on a few projects and aside from the file sizes its really awesome.

Is the rat4nuke can compiler with vc?
Or is there any already compilered plugins.
I just try compiler myself and failed…

Afaik it can be compiled, although I haven't tried it myself. It should be linked with HDK11.1 though for vc compatibility with Nuke (assuming Nuke 7.0 uses the same vc as 6). Here [forums.odforce.net]is the discussion. Unfortunately eetu's compilation seems to be gone atm.
