There is a problem with sticking viewport for two seconds when using the spacebar. It's very annoying enough to work. As there is a problem with the display of tooltips, instead of them black background.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Houdini version: 12.5.376

My laptop configuration:

Linux: Debian Wheezy 64bit
Video: Nvidia GTX 560M
Driver version: 304.88

I think it's your card problem. Try to update driver. Latest version is 319.23 .

We've heard reports of this occurring, and it seems to be related to the X-server shipping with some distributions, though these reports were more prevalent last year than now (reports were with Fedora 16 and 17). It's possible that it's been fixed with a newer X-server version, or perhaps the user switched distributions.

The solution was simple to switch from GNOME desktop environment on KDE.
