I was just wondering if anyone nows a good workflow on how to create a heightmap based on a lowres heightfield conversion.

The idea is getting out a lowres terrain geo and using the heightfield to get the details.

You can use the heightfield_project node for that.

Omg, amazing. Couldn`t figure that out for days.
