I'm trying to flood fill a selection and so far my method seems too round about. Is there a better method to fill the area between the selected polys in the picture?
The round-about method I'm using is selecting the edges with the Select tool menu ‘Cut Geometry for UV Layout’, then groupSop, then UVflattenSop, then use the ‘UV Connected Geometry’.
Would be nicer to just double click the area to fill it to the previous selection.
EDIT: I'm thinking of something like the paint bucket from MacPaint in the 1980's

No need for a fancy setup - just hold down “H” while clicking inbetween.
Like holding “A” to make a “shortest path” selection with left click or middle click to do a loop.
