Hi,

Is there a way to remove co planar polygons (something like welding them in one big poly), the reduce polygon SOP doesn't seem to do the job.

For example if you have a subdivided box with rounded edges, how do you remove all the subdivisions (coplanar polys) around the center or each face of the box …

This question is almost 10 yrs old, but still applicable to Houdini 18.5. I'm looking for this as well. Anyone can help answering this question please?

Maybe you can group edges by angle using Group SOP
And then dissolve them using Dissolve SOP

Seems like the Undertaker did a pretty good job burying this thread for 19 years
