Is PolyExtrude 2.0's inset broken?

I have this irregular grid:



With PolyExtrude 1.0's, inset looks nice:



With PolyExtrude 2.0, however,, the edges are all messed up:



Is PolyExtrude 2.0 broken? How could I get the old behavior?
