Hello. Houdini noob here. Could someone tell me how best to organize a scene in Solaris for efficiency and the fastest possible renders on my system?
I have an .abc character, imported from Blender, with a simple 635-frame animation. This character will have some time-remapping, particle effects, and maybe others applied to it. Should I bring this in as one file already animated, or should I import the character in a T-pose, and the animation as a separate file, and merge them?
The camera will move with the character. Ultimately, there'll be at least two other camera angles added, using the same elements as above. So same scene, three angles.
There will be an environment that the character passes through, which may be heavy in geometry, etc.
The atmosphere may be basic, but it might also be volumetric.
I'm just wondering when/where it would be best to apply a file cache, save to disk node
Thanks!
