I'm trying to achieve this rig in kine fx for future flexibility, but can't seem to figure it out. The idea is the geometry to curl up from lying flat to the resulting box shap.
I've attached a clean file as a base, if anyone could demonstrate a workflow that would be amazing.
Here is an example how to use Kinefx rig to unfold a box.....you should be able to apply this to your scene with little effort.
Basic principle:
Break the box into parts, pack those parts and use capture pack geo to move each part using a basic skeleton rig, then unpack if required.....ideal for rigging solid parts that are not required to deform, like a robot arm for example.....use the rigpose node to animate the rig.
