I'm having strange display artifacts when viewing volumes in OpenGL on my laptop

config:

Dell Precision M6300
Ubuntu 8.04 x64
Nvidia Quadro Fx 1600M
hfs9.1.218

Any ideas?

thanks

Hi tallkien

if you post the hip, I will have a look. I'm running exactly the same specs and haven't had any problems

hi Erik

The hip above is just a torus with an Iso Offset set to Fog Volume. And that's what it looks like. In fact all volumes end up looking like that or similar

I think it might have something to with my xorg.conf coz renders look just fine, just wondering if anyone has had similar problems

thanks

Here's my xorg.conf for you to compare.
I'm on an HP laptop with ubuntu 7.10 64bit, nvidia graphics, and am having no trouble with fog.

I had to cheat on the attached file and put an acceptable extension on it.

Thanks a lot Erik,

The problem turned out to be something quite silly actually. I had transparency turned off in the viewport display options. duh…

cheers
