i have two polygon curves as perpendicular cross sections of a floor shape. i copied cross section one to create two rails on which to apply the second cross section to with the rails sop but it errors out saying “please use atleast two rails.”

:sigh:

can you not use two curves as perpendicular cross sections?

sure.

i take two profile curves and merge them into one.
i take a cross section curve.
then i connect them to the rails sop.

error: please use at least two rails

….i am! or am i? in my experience i know it's probably going to be user error, but still… yeesh.

Hi,

The inputs to the Rails SOP were reversed. All you have to do is to select the Rails SOP & type ‘r’ to swap the inputs.

To see what the inputs expect, you can Middle Mouse click on input connector. Also, the Rails SOP help lists the Inputs information too. The ‘?’ button in the parameters of the Rails SOP will bring up the help card.

Cheers!
