Can't figure out cause of pixelation in reflection?

I am perplexed by an issue with a reflection that I am making.. I have made a room that surrounds an oval shaped object that has a reflective material. The room is basically a half arc shape with a ceiling and floor.. I have tried making this room as a highly subdivded polygon shape and also as nurbs (both creating it entirely in houdini and importing as nurbs from another software as an .iges).. no matter what it comes out looking like this:

http://rick-dane-files.s3.amazonaws.com/wtf.jpg [rick-dane-files.s3.amazonaws.com]

See right in the middle there is sort of a reflection of an ellipse shape that is pixelated.. this is just a reflection of the room that I created. Also the sphere shape that has “link” on it is highly sub'd..

I'll post the houdini file in a moment.. need to post the .obj file too.. would appreciate any advice on why its pixelating the reflection

Here is the houdnini and object file

Thanks in advance for any advice on this

edit: Obviously in this case this isn't a big deal but I'm just kinda wondering if there is a reason why its showing this way since it may come up for other things, maybe its just the way it is based off the material I'm using and this is replicating something that might occur in nature?

Hi Rdane1010,

Have you tried increasing the “pixel samples” (if using micropoly) or min/max ray samples (if using raytrace) in the mantra output node?

Increase the Shading Quality of the object: Object parameters -> Render tab -> Dicing tab -> Shading Quality.

A value between 2 or 3 should do it.
