Dear people,
After a clean windows and Houdini install, Houdini only starts up when I run it as administrator. It's annoying, since also my network drives don't show up within Houdini.
Does anyone recognize and have the solution for this issue?
Cheers,

Hi all,
I was setting up a multisolver simulation and used
(Short & Sweet 3D) tutorials as reference.
Fist context input are packed primitives. When I simulate the setup the packed primitives are spawned every frame but follow the expected effects. The second I spawn them only the first frame using the $FF==1 expression in the Impulse Activation of the popsource2 channel the simulation stops working.
I don't really understand what I am doing wrong. I have been struggling with combining multiple solvers.
what I am trying to do is simulate just the packed primitives I have set up..so I don't want to spawn more.
An explanation about what I am doing wrong or a link to some good learning material would be very much appreciated
I attached a scene example.

Dear all,
I recently purchased a 3dconnexion spacemouse. I am very happy sofar, though more support for it by SideFx would be very much appreciated.
Though.. I have a weird problem and I was hoping someone would have a sollution for this.
When I use the 3d mouse in the viewport it moves buttersmooth. Though when I move a camera instead of the viewport, most of the time the control movement locks. This is most noticable when I use instances in my scene.
Does anyone have a work around for this? Help would be very much appreciated.
I am on Houdini 18.0317 atm. And I am using the latest drivers of 3Dconnexion.

I am a big fan of Steven Knipping's tutorials.
It's ofcourse exactly what you are looking for, though this gives you a good basis to build upon.
