I have some visibility nodes in geo level, and set expression in action parameter (hide/expose primitives). This parameter is promoted in root level for asset.
The expression is a simple conditional pointed to folders radio button type.
It works fine, but the expression is removed, despite I do “Save type node”.
In fact, I want to control visibility for some subnet networks with folders radio buttons.
I've seen an example using switch with a expression like ch(“folders1”), but this only work in SOP level, it seems.
Too I've used callback script using opset toggle affecting node visility, but this option requires putting that nodes as editables in asset properties.

Curious singularity a specific conditional statement for numeric and for string in HScript.
Thank you so much for clarification graham!

I have an issue with this code, using string value:
However when I use numeric value, or if I use string outside if statement, it runs ok
I'm using this expression script inside a Text parameter of Font SOP.
if(ch("../../show_units") == 1, chs("../../units"), "zero")

if(ch("../../show_units") == 1, ch("../../units"), 0)

jerry7I unknew that behaviour be a bug… so its certainly can be annoying dive into network each time a item is selected.
I have reported this bug many monthes ago. I suggest you report it again to promote sesi repair it.
H16 is about to release, so maybe we can wait to see this is fixed. Otherwise I report once again this bug.

Thanks tamte!
I don't know if exists a better method but to solve that promoted parameters be visible, instead to use “invisible” option, I have created an extra custom parameter as integer (as invisible), and I use the option “hide when” to hidden the promoted paramters by value of this extra parameter.

I've been found a way to allow manipulate nulls inside asset preventing dive automatically into network when nulls are selected, too without need add them as editable nodes.
This way consist by adding a vector3 custom parameter in root level of asset and link to tx,ty,tz for my nulls in my case. However the custom parameter must be visible

Thanks for your reply tamte
In fact I want to avoid this behavior in asset, but turning off “Allow diving into locked assets” is not working for me. Maybe I have set both nulls into “editable nodes” for asset properties, to make available them can be select and move it.
As well as, I would like a way to avoid dive into network that aren't dependent user preferences.

How I can avoid dive into network when a null be selected?
I want to create a digital asset, but I don't wanna this behavior.
Thanks

If you think change Rhino to Houdini you needs to know that Houdini, even though it have NURBS and is parametric based, is not CAD tool.
If you have CAD requirements and needs something better than Rhino for modelling, my recomendation is you look for Catia, Unigraphics NX or Solidworks.
Otherwise, Houdini is the most powerful 3D animation tool at this moment for DCC purposes.

I have been uploaded a digital asset to Orbolt but still have “being reviewed” status for long time.
It's a basic asset, so my question is how many time usually take the review proccess?
Thanks

I'm a newbie in Houdini and VEX code, but in Wrangle documentation seems to explain it uses @ to create temporary VEX variables.
