Forgot to update this… I was using a point light which I guess was probabilistic either getting sampled or not each frame causing the flicker. When I changed to an area light everything worked fine.

When I try to use the Alembic ROP (I am using Apprentice) it tells me that feature is only available in FX or Core… Is this not true?

Scaling on local axis is actually my favorite part! I just switched from Blender to Houdini for regular viewport modeling, and it has been like running in syrup!
I'm also excited about the poly draw tool, I make mobile games so anything that reminds me of 2000s era Paul Steed is a plus.

Hi! I am trying to learn how to get clean renders from Mantra. I just applied the default glass shader at 12x12 samples per pixel using the PBR Raytracing engine and two lights (area and spot). It almost looks great but I have just a few pixels that get blown out to superwhite and flicker. These pixels hop around from the ear to the snout, but in general are on the key side of the pighead:

What should my intuition be here? I don't really know how to begin debugging. How do most lighters approach a problem render like this?
Thanks!
P.S. HIP attached…
