How to add edge loops with points in chramp onto a polygon?

hey hello! new learner here. i found a procedural fountain video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itOUV4w8Tuo) and was really curious how edge loop seem to be added in using ramp. i find it really efficient and explored various ways but cant seem to get it.



could anyone share with me some guide, or is there a simple way i might have missed , thank you!

Hi,

There are many ways to do this. Here is one way:

float m = ch("multiplier");
float y = relbbox ( 0, @P ).y;
@P.x += chramp("displace", y) * m;
