I am having a problem with the standalone examples in the HDK on OSX.
When it compiles, it produces the warning:
cc1plus: warning: command line option “-fobjc-gc-only” is valid for ObjC/ObjC++ but not for C++
Fine. I'm not using Objective-C anyways, and it still finishes building.
But trying to run the resulting executable does not work, and produces the error:
objc: ‘/Library/Frameworks/Houdini.framework/Versions/10.0.374/Libraries/libHoudiniUT.dylib’ was compiled with -fobjc-gc-only, but the application does not support GC
objc: *** GC capability of application and some libraries did not match
Illegal instruction
Any ideas on how to write standalone HDK apps…without having to submit myself to the horrors of objective-c?
Thanks.
