i am doing some compositing.
i want a plane to receive a shadow from object1 but not from object2,
while i still want object2 to cast shadow on object1.

is there a way to select which object to receive shadow from?

Use two render nodes. One including plane and object1 and second one including object1 and object2.
Then comp these two layers.

i also found a technic which is having multiple lights (one for each object) and playing with the shadow mask.
I found it to be a good technic since i have control over shadows also.
