I'm having problems doing operations on Alembic file. I have unpacked it and am trying to shatter. Vornoi fracture points SOP appears to work but seperate chunks refuse to appear in the Vornoi fracture SOP at the end of my chain. What going on???

Did have time to look into your file.
Did you convert your alembic to polygons?

is that before unpacking? i believe i did not. how is that done? what node?

Use convert sop after alembic node. By default it set to convert polygons.

If you look at the details view of an alembic, you'll see that you'll only have points for each transform, not for each point on the geometry. In order to change it, you need to convert it to polygons or something first. It's the same for packed primitives.
