Hello,
I have an issue but i might miss something about the selection system in Houdini :/
When i hit "S" to switch in Select Tool and i click on the Handle Tool, both are selected, and only the Select Tool works.
This happens only when i hit "S" to switch from X to the Select Tool. If i click on the Select Tool, i can switch by clicking to the Handle tool. See attachments.

double hit the enter key in the viewer pane(since you are in selection mode, now then first hit is to confirm the selection from selection mode and 2nd one is to go to handle tool)
or hit the enter key once for accept the selection and then use the selection tool of the selector and handle controls
