Hey there,

im a Student who learns Houdini.

I got a problem inside a POPnet. My Goal is to calculate the Distance from a particle to a surface and will use this Value to control a point interactionforce. First the position force should be -0.5 and if a particle gets near the surface (1 unit) the force should be increase up to 0.8.

After several attempts i got managed that the right value gets calculated but it wont let me control the the position force. Is it because the value gets first calculated in the solver and cant be used "above" it?

I attached a new file were i pasted the problem in;

Thanks in advance for all answers. And maybe i am doing a complete wrong workflow for this. Then pls correct me too

Alex

Enable "use VEXpressions" and feed your attribute this way.

Cheers
