Houdini crashing 2010年6月7日0:24

Hey everyone,

I am running Houdini Apprentice 10.0.595 and it keeps crashing on me. I was running an older build of Houdini, (I think 10.0.4-something), then I got a new computer and put the latest build of Houdini on it. (Waiting for 11 to buy apprentice HD!!). Everything worked great on my old machine.

Anyway Houdini installs, and boots up just fine, in fact modeling, animating, and everything else works except for simulating and rendering.

Whenever I try to render a sequence (Mantra) it is hit or miss. Sometimes it finishes fine, and other times a window pops up saying: “Mantra has stopped working…” or “hmaster has stopped working…” I notice it happens every time I try to use a wedge rop.

As for simulations, it will only simulate if I have the “cache simulation” option checked on. If I uncheck it, and try to use a file node to write out sim files to disk it gives me a segmentation fault error.
However, if I check the “cache simulation” option, and try to write out the sim through a file dop it works fine… until the simulation gets to complex. Then I don't get a seg fault error, but a window pops up saying: “hmaster has stopped working…”

The scene is not too complex or heavy. It is a sim of some particle fluids; none of the setting are outrageous by any means. Substeps are all at defaults.

I know that was a lot of info, but I would really like to get this solved, I have a school project do very soon! Maya, Softimage, After Effects all work fine. I tried updated my video card driver from nvidia, but still having the same problems. Any help would be awesome.

Oh, here are my computer specs, and attached is a recent crash log.
Phenom II x6 1090T
16GB ddr3 ram
nvidia gtx 470
80GB SSD
700GB data HDD
Windows 7 pro 64bit

Thanks,

Zach
