Color Explosion

This project demonstrates how to build a vibrant 2D Pyro explosion in Houdini 21 using the new GPU-accelerated COP Pyro solver. The source is generated in SOPs with a POP solver, then rasterized into simulation attributes that are fed into COPs as the starting point for the pyro sim.
Inside COPs, shaping operators are used to push detail and motion into the explosion, while a procedural Cd field is added in SOPs to introduce color directly into the simulation. The setup also highlights how post-shading can be layered in COPs to enhance the look.
A Solaris/Karma scene is included to render the final result, giving you a complete workflow from source to sim to final image.
