Flow Box
Motion Graphics

This project showcases how Houdini 21’s new Flow Solver in Copernicus can be used to add expressive secondary motion to animated textures. The setup demonstrates how to generate fluid-like trails behind a moving 2D texture, and how velocity layers created in COPs can be pushed further, driving particles that flow naturally across the surface.

The example also highlights how to bridge COPs with SOPs and DOPs by using the animated texture to drive a Vellum simulation, producing surface reactions that remain tightly synchronized with the evolving textures.

To complete the workflow, a Karma/Solaris scene is included.

This project needs a SideFX Labs installation.
