The Orb

This project demonstrates how to bring a creature, the Orb, to life in Houdini from rigging with KineFX to final compositing in COPs.

It focuses on the latest Houdini 21 CFX tools including Shot Sculpt to fix the animation, Armature Deform to create variations of realistic looking animated creatures from a single base model, Muscle Transfer and Otis Solver to reshape and simulate muscles and tissue.

In addition to the creature setup, this project includes a file for the environment, some FX, a lighting setup in Solaris and a compositing network in COPs. This file uses some assets from PolyHaven.

IMPORTANT: After downloading the textures and cache, put the tex and geo directories into the project directory.
