Both Houdini CORE and Houdini FX are being bundled with Karma tokens to give studios something to start with. Until Dec 31, 2023, you can get extra Karma tokens for free. After Jan 1, 2024 you will need to rent new licenses for $195 USD annually beyond those bundled with interactive licenses. For customers who renew in 2022, you will not pay for the rental time up until Dec 31, 2023 but will be charged for any rental time that takes place in 2024.

Workstation licenses will get 5 tokens with each interactive license and LAL and GAL licenses will get 10 tokens with each interactive license.

Houdini Engine licenses will NOT come with any Karma tokens.

Charges will then be applied to any tokens beyond that in order to help finance Karma’s development. Volume pricing will be available for larger pipelines.
