Hi, I'm trying to learn to use the apex autorigbuilder and things are going, ok-ish, but I'm running into issues because I lack the knowledge or experience in rigging and animation. I took the squab and rigged it, but for the tentacles I do not know how to proceed. I would think that it would be very nice to have those behave in a FK/IK switchable fashion per tentacle. So if the squab poses one of it's tentacles on a static object and I want to tilt his head a bit, the FK tentacles move along, but the IK one is "locked" on the object. But I do not know how to do this and it's a bit difficult to find information on this exact subject. Would anybody here with more rigging experience be able (and willing) to point me in the right direction?
bro! i'm a beginner myself. i dont know how to create a FK/IK switchable rig, but after 'pack folder', initialize apex with 'FK transform' autorig component, next, connect "SPLINE' autorig component. tweak the attributes for proper spline setup.
'Spline' is FANTASTIC. Its amazing for things like Polygon hair, ropes, chains, etc..and ofcourse tentacles. U can then setup 'ragdoll' for amazing dynamics as well.
i'm still learning.
APex is fantastic but everything need to be spoon fed to it at this point.
Real pity is, people without programming background cant even understand documentation. Hope proper video tutorials will be made...

Tnx for your reply. The FK transform is now just a toggle in the autorigbuilder (input skeleton to FK) if i understand it correctly, but the settings for the spline are a bit unresponsive for me. I've tried to tweak some stuff but I do not see any changes in the behavior of the control rig. And adding a multiIK of multiIK skel just completely destroys the autorigbuilder results, there is no errors but the control rig is gone when i want to add that. Some goes for the nech head component. I can't find info on how this is supposed to work in the documentation. Am I searching in the wrong place maybe?
