Hi
I always do that on windows, no problems if it can be rendered in houdini.
Maybe you load your hip while you open hcommand,then the $hip path is the hcmd.exe path.
I use mread command
Open your command line tool
hscript
mread //path/to/file.hip
render -V /out/mantra
Or cd to your hip path first.or put your batch file in your hip path.

I don't konw what's wrong with it, i can use pcopen in sopvop right, but in popvop it returned wrong result.

I'm trying to build a simple massive asset in houdini.
I want to use instance for each agent, but instance doesn't support different sop deform, and if i insurance multiple objects to points the viewport can't display.
So i instead it with copy, the only problem is slow, if it's multithreaded(maybe other deform sops and chops should multithread tighter) it would 10times faster.
So my wish is more powerful instance and faster copy.
And i found mantra writes many times to disk during rendering one image, i guess is it not good for disk ? Is there a choice how many times it write. Just my guess :wink:

I think you can generate it by shop or cop just find distance between original obj and subdivided obj.
But i do it by mudbox cheek smooth target models option off,that's easier

I created two geometry rop in /out ,then link geometry1 to geometry2.
If i render geometry2 in Houdini ,both geometry1 and geome2 will render out together every frame. But if i render geometry2 in hbach it will render out all frame of geometry1 then render geometry2. So the problem is in hbach the dop will sim twice both in geometry1and 2.
Can the hbach render sequence the same as in houdini?

I don't think so , if they have the same detail.
i'm working on a shot about in the cloud , need much detail, pbr is necessary .but the render time about cevx volume with pbr is unimaginable!

hi,
i have many objs,and need unhide parameters for them,such as “xform motionsamples”.and don't want do it one by one.

no one works for me
and if i choose Random Parameter, how do the Use Vexpression works? i tried some expression in it,no one changed the default result.
and how can i see the group information, like in sop's operator information?
