Solaris Crowd Workflow - SkelRoot Instancing, etc

I'm working on some stadium crowds. I'd like to optimize as best as I can. Currently the workflow is 4 agents, each have layers for clothing & hair, 2 have props. I apply these layers after the sim for flexibility. I'm using boxes currently as a proxy with usdpurpose set on the prims.

Bringing the cache into LOPs seems to work. The proxy is shown and the agents are renderable. I put down a crowdprocedural after the karma settings node with the camera. I'm not sure if the skelRoots are instanced and I'm not sure the procedural is doing anything. It might be but I'm not seeing any change in the viewport with a procedural preview and my scenegraph stays the same.

Is there anything else I should be doing in Solaris to optimize?

I'm getting about 130gb of ram usage for 30k agents; h20.5.654. Is that about what to expect? Any help is appreciated!
