Principled shader and my furstration with the bump normal...

Hi everyone!

I can't see any texture input to plug my normal info, why this? the only way i found is to specify the texture location manually, then what about if i want to tile it?


I don't get it, why this texture implementation is not following the same as the other input…
What did i miss?

I RFE'd this a few weeks ago, wouldn't be surprised to know that many others have as well. It's annoying. For now you can edit the shader and swap inputs or just build it yourself.

Thanks glad to know despite my relative early experience with this new software in my carrier , it's not the only one…
But so far very much enjoying doing lookdev in houdini, very smart and clever indeed!

In 16.0.576 the Principled Shader has baseN and coatN inputs. coatN is used when “Separate Coat Normals” is enabled on the Bump & Normals tab.
