I and others have often remarked that Karma is slow to generate a clean image in some situations. I was testing it a bit the other day and I happened to move light sampling quality up from 1 to 5, which made a MASSIVE difference. Had almost no effect on render time (41s vs 38s, so 3s longer in this small snippet) but it completely cleaned up the image. Anybody else experiencing this? I'm wondering if maybe the default should be higher or the tooltip should place more weight on the importance of this setting. (I'm using distributed since it's much faster than variance or PT in this case.)
