can you please help me? I have imported a car with many many parts with assigned materials in Solaris.
Is it possible to replace one of the materials f.e. „carpaint“ with „carpaint_blue_metallic“?
I already found a rather crude solution by right clicking the old carpaint material prim and use „copy paths“ pasted inside a „assign material lop“ with stronger descendents option turned on.
But isn’t there a more elegant way to edit the material relationship?
I would really appreciate if you guys could give me a few hints!
The %geofrommat autocollection (prim pattern) can be used to pick the primitives bound to the old material, and use them in a Material Assign to reassing a new material. See the hip/screenshot for an example.
