Does the stage manager in 20.5 support using physical effects when moving assets? I didn't see this option. If it does, that would be great.

And can we replace the asset now?

It does not have Physics in the released version, but we're aiming to have that ready quite soon; watch the Changelog/Journal and daily builds.

This was implemented in 20.5 on July 9th.
