Hello,

I’m new here, so forgive me if I’m posting this in the wrong place.
I was hoping to get some suggestions from any (Wacom) tablet users running Houdini on Linux.

I’ve been primarily Windows based my entire career, and looking to prepare for an eventual transition to Linux. Are there any tablet settings or actions that are missing for Linux, when compared to Windows or Mac functionality? What are the settings that you use the most in Houdini?
From what I’ve been able to see you can map pen buttons for viewport navigation, (which is what I do on Windows) at least on certain distributions of Linux.

I know Wacom doesn’t have an official Linux driver, so I’m worried about a more difficult workflow transition. Has anyone run into any snags running Houdini with a tablet or pen display on Linux?

Thanks

Wacom should work out of the box (it does for me) and if you just need to map the pen buttons you'll be fine.
It can get a bit trickier if you want to map tablet buttons too.
