Hi list,

complete Apprentice newbie here.

I want to model a facade with many arched window openings. What is the best ‘Houdini’ way to do this procedurally?

I was thinking of building the windows as solid objects and use the cookie sop to cut them out of the facade. Is there a better way?

Thanks for your help!

That is one way. If your exterior wall has a thickness to it, then cookie is the best way to do it.

If you just have a single set of faces representing the exterior (no thickness to start off with), you can use the Hole SOP. See the attached file.

There's at least one school like the old school!
