Hello
Houdini stops working when I try to View the UV View port.
My Workflow
Import FBX with pre existing UV seams > Quick shade > Vertex split > Group Create > Group Transfer > Uv Flatten > Repack
I'm basically following the tutorial as seen here
https://www.sidefx.com/tutorials/uv-flatten-sew-uvs-with-pre-existing-seams [www.sidefx.com]
but i want to say 70% of the time Houdini will crash when i proceed to try to switch to UV view port .
Experiencing how Volatile Houdini is for the past 2 years , I've learned to Output right before I Switch to UV View.
Or If I even suspect it might crash. Output and output often .
Any suggestions are appreciated .
Does Houdini have a “TdrDelay” and “TdrDdiDelay” that is simply set too short by default ?

FIXED by Following the Steps
Open Side FX then Open Windows->Operator Type Manager, look for those two assets under
“Installed Assets” and delete them.
I actually did a search for the definitions then hit Enter in the Search Field inside Operator Type Manager.

Hello, New here & need some help please.
Bought and Installed Houdini Indie Commercial 15.5.565 Unreal Edition
After watching a few tutorials about setting up the Procedural Pipe Line. Houdini started to show red flags or red nodes. I'm sure I did something wrong along the way.
1st a crash. Then anything from ORBOLT does not work or what I expect to work is not displaying properly. Okay beginners mistakes. Reboot try again. Then Errors and most tools do not work and then crash Houdini. At this point I assumed that Reinstalling would help. The Online Wizard says to try to install a Stand Alone Version however I was never prompted to do SO. After many tries I managed to Reinstall and get Licensing working again.
I can now launch Houdini however every time I do. I get this Error
Error: Couldn't remove old operator type definition sesi_temporary:op/attribvop
Error: Couldn't remove old operator type definition sesi_temporary::sesi_temporary:op/attribvop
Also most tools like Ocean FX & Pyro FX fail. Then Show me a long list of Errors and crash Houdini.
I sent in for email Support however It is a Holiday and A weekend. I have been searching the forums for the problem and the key words i search for reveal a “Successful Search Nothing Found”.
I looked for a save folder possibly showing me what Error Logs could add as an attachment. I have not found this folder if there is one.
Questions :
How do I fix the errors above?
What steps will I need to follow?
UPDATE : Please open the Windows->Operator Type Manager, look for those two assets under
“Installed Assets” and delete them.
Thank You Side FX Support Team
Is there a Save Folder Showing me My Error Logs like I would see in Unreal Engine Editor?
