I am having the same problem at the moment?
running 18.0.416
the weird thing is. it works on some computers but not others in our studio setup?
has this been fixed with later versions?

just installed 18.5.408
still having the same issues.
did anyone manage to fix this?

for some reason this function stopped work for me when the software is running in administration mode?
I informed the SESI.

hi Everyone.
we are currently using 18 in production at the studio, and working fine with deadline 10.
and I dont believe 18.5 is yet officially supported by Deadline.
but they seem to take ages to bring support online for newer releases of houdini?
has anyone got any idea if there is any way to get it to work with 18.5?

Hi everybody.
Just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.
I can't quite figure the method out, but I want to create a Folder(with parameters in) within another existing folder in a nodes parameter window using python?
is this possible?

Hi people.
Just wondering if anyone is having this same problem.
I am fairly new to python and I am following along with Mix training video on youtube about python panels.

and for some reason, I am stumbling at the first hurdle.
When trying to import the OS module for python in the python panel window. its does not seem to work.
Now if I go in and ‘import os’ via the python shell it works.
Can anyone shed some light on this? or has anyone had this issue before?

I know this is an old topic.
Did you find a good solution for this. I am trying to find the best way to do this. I am not really a scripter but am wondering what the best way to get houdini to see job related HDA's etc.

Hi Graham,
I know this is a old thread.
But I am trying to figure out how to run a shelf tool and I cannot work this out.
in the python shell I am trying to Run the .tool() and its not coming up with the tool tip like all other functions. even thought it is documented?
I am Running houdini 17 core.
basically, I just want to be able to call a shelf tool on startup so I am trying to figure out how to do this in python for the 123.py etc.

Or appreciate anyone else help.

Hi Houdini people.
I Define a $HSITE environment variable, its a network drive to store assets on. a workgroup right.
when I go to save a preset how do I get to have that directory as a place where I can save the preset too?
