create custom attribute in SOP, import it in VEX,but I want modfy the attribute in VEX loop and send it to next SOP flow.
Example:
1 SOP: attribCreate : aa (float) default 1.0
2 VEX: import attribute aa,
3: modfy aa in VEX loop. like aa*10=10.0
4: create point node below the VEX node., in this time I can get $Aa=10.0

oh..god!
I write it in maya API,and copy the data stream in *.chan file…
Is this my problem? but if I read less than 500-700 vertex . it will succeed……
or my chan file error for write?be in muddleheaded -_-!

ok.
This is the obj file(1300 vertex) and chan file contain every point`s xyz position . the houdini file contain what I want achieve.
maybe there is another way use chan to modifi every point`s position(or other) ….but I do not know ………

afterward I ween maybe too much point ,then I change obj to 1000 vertex..but all the same……..

Hi . I have a fearful problem
I read a obj file( 11000 vertex ) in sop, then I read a chan file in chop ,change name to tx.(chan file contain every point`s xyz information )
but when I connect point node to obj file . and input chopcf(“/obj/model/chop1/file1”,$PT,$F) in point`s tx channel. the clchan.exe error “memery Error 0x000000000,can not be read……”
My computer have 2 Gb memery…..outOfMemort? or there are have anothier method to read pointarray information to transform object? Please help me

but I want know , Why chf(point (“…/point1”, 12, “P”,0) , $F-2) return wrong value ,but chopf(“….”) will return the right value ?

but the 1 Qus, how could offset pre- point animation time 1 by 1 or by other rules ? shift or delay node could offset all input point motion time by uniform step, but I want offset input point animation time by different
step ?like first number point motion time is 1-30 frame, second point motion time is 4-33 frame,third point motion time is 7-36 frame……..how to do ?

1: I didn`t want to change point`s position, just every point`s animation time, like the point which $PT%2==0 , offset there animation time 1 by 1 , in chop some node like delay can global offset all the input point animation time by some step,but I want offset input point`s animation time 1 by 1 (or other rules)
2: I want quote some sop`s point position by 2 second ago ,
some Exp function like chf() can quote other sop`s info by specify time, but if I do : chf(point (“…/point1”, 12, “P”,0) , $F-2), it return wrong value,

I make CHOP–>Geomtry node to display point array `s transfporm, but I don`t know how to offset or change every point animation by some rules, like offset frame by $PT (not offset all point`s frame global).
2 Qus:
I want quote other point node`s info in current point node by some rules, like chf(“/obj/geo1/point1/tx”,$F-3) ,but it return 0 ,I don`t know how to do ?

this file I use group to control order, but I want to diffrent every point`s blend weight by useing image luminance or by expression,like some point ($PT%5==0) has blend to 1 when in frame 10, but some point start blend at frame 11 and stop blend at 0.6 weights,others slow down 1–>0.3 blend weight, How to do ? Do blend weight pre-point?

Hi, although I can use group to change blend order, but I couldn`t assign every point`s blendsharp weight different .so I want to know how i can assign every point`s weight different so as to “ if point`s number%2==0 weight==0.5,others weighti==1 ”? like useing image luminance.I use chop==>image to display it`s color graph ,but I don`t know how to translate to object`s point position. did houdini have some tools could change every point`s weight like paint?

I am dismay!!!!
I cann`t rendering my work by network rendering right .also Mantra provide Remote host, I set “mantra -H mylocalhost,remotehost” , but remote nothing happend,still rendering scene with local equipment……..
How to detailed setup the parameter ?Is the project or all the file must on the server like spider network render software ?if do .how to setting the project like maya project to limit all the computer to read all the path and file element on server project autokinetic ? or have some “tips” or “note” by localhost and Remotehost setting?or must change some important setting by my network group?or another ??
SO…..help me , I thibk i will lunacy quickly for pay 2 days to render 320X240 volumn effects……
