No matter what I try, this alembic just won't export properly to C4D. When I re-import it into Houdini it displays perfectly, the streaks reach their target and disappear.
However, within C4D they just stay put and nothing happens. Any ideas?
You can see that only the first two behave this way, also there is this weird shape in the beginning that should only appear when the spears start firing. Houdini does all the right things but not sure how to export it correctly?

As the title suggests, i'm sometimes having a hard time differentiating the two. do both of them create smoke? I know temperature drives buyoancy but burn also creates temperature.
any explanation would be super helpful.
When I use a Pyro Bake Volume, temperature, flame and density often look almost exactly the same.

Hey all,
any ideas how I can visualize the Pyro Bake Volume without losing it when it's not activated? As soon as I connect it to a null and activate the null, the Pyro Bake is no longer visible. This way I also can't do an open gl preview in SOP level.
Is there any fix for this?

When using Flame Life and setting it to 0 in 19.5 you still get a flame. So there is no way to cut back a flame currently in 19.5, is this bug just in my build?

Curious if anyone can help here. I've written out many Pyro Sims to VDBs lately using VDB convert node, then exporting with a File node set to write mode.
However, these files get huge, often 1gb per frame for a detailed sim. Is there any way to compress VDB's (not volumes, but specifically VDB's or perhaps even both so that the rendering pipeline can load files faster over the network)
I saw the Volume Compress node but unsure whether that one works on VDB or Houdini Volume files only.

whenever I export an exr with a Pyro Sim, the fire shows up in the viewport, EVEN in Mantra Preview render, but in AE or any image viewer only the smoke shows up.
Any ideas how to solve this? Even when using opengl output node, i don't get the flames, just the smoke.

Whenever I use a Pyro Bake Volume, it only shows the fire as long as the Pryo Bake Node is active, when I connect it to a node afterwards, the fire is gone.
Also when I render I just get smoke, no fire is showing up. Is there any known fix for this issue?

Found the solution: make sure you generate your normals in point mode not vertex mode.

I'm trying to have balls randomly moving along a sphere driven by noise potentially...
I tried to set it up in Mops but I get this error:

Unfortunately that didn't help, there is still this kind of wiggle thing going on. Perhaps this scene setup is just too hard to simulate?

Hey there,
I'm trying to grow plants based on a pyro source spread. However, as soon as I use an attrib wrange to multiply @temperature * @pscale Redshift crashes. The plants and growth works as expected in viewport. But as soon as I hit render everything crashes.
Any ideas how to circumvent that?

Here it is. You can see that the mesh is wiggly and not like you would expect from a viscosity of 1500 and density of 3000.

I've spent days trying to figure this out. Turned off reseeding, activated particle separation etc, but I keep getting this wiggly weird motion.. Doesn't feel natural at all. Any tips?
