Wow. This has been such a journey!
Im so grateful that this challenge is open to all skill levels and for the hard work that gets put into an event like this alnong with everything else yall do to maintain Houdini. This was such a great way for me to push myself to learn houdini and 3d art in a really ballenced way. Im excited to see what I can learn next.
The two big goals for me were to learn the software and become more comfortible posting "bad art" (perfection being the enemey of the good and all that) and I think Ive definitely accomplised both! Ive learned a lot about how I can continue to improve and Im going to keep working hard at it! big congrats to everyone else who kept up with this every day, I'll miss wakining up to all of your amazing art!

Whelp Ive run out of time that I can dedicate to this today. Good news is I was able to get a render from a network using this node. Bad news is that all I could get the node to do is turn the grid pitch black. I did my best to follow the documentation and fidled with it for hours. Im not sure if its a hardware limitation or a beginers mistake Im making but I just wasnt able to get any sort of image to show up. Hopefully its a simple mistake that I can learn from but for now, sadly, this is the fruit of my work.

Ended up going with this abstract ravine made from a single object. This was my first introduction to LOPs and it was really interesting to explore what can be done with it. Im excited to learn more in the furure

I used this node to animate a feild of geomotry to try and acheive a heavily stylized fire-plant effect. Overall I like how it turned out!

I used this as an opertunity to mock up a double pendulum dungeon trap

All right! here it is!
I know the deadline was moved the 25th but unfortunately I wasnt able to find a window where the site was up to post on either the 24th or 25th. Despite being an absolute beginer Ive worked hard to complete the challenge everyday and I hope I can still be considered for the ironheart challenge.

Some stretchy bois on a stretchy bridge. I took this as an opertunity to explore prop/environment rigging to give the effect of some sylized physics.

So I realized that this node can also be used to procedually generate some concentric circles/toruses really quickly and I wanted to play with the idea of using that in an effect. I was going for some 80's anime goodness with this and I think it has some potential. Im not quite satisfied with the render as I still need to learn enough about shading and textureing to prevent shadows from falling on emmisive objects but overall I'm atleast satisfied with my progress.

I've heard booleans are great for caves so I wanted to play around with that idea. I used a combination of boxcutter along with noise and vdb operations to create something more organic. I endend up with a floating island/ asteroid vibe and did my best to stage it as an alien cave rave.

In my head this was going to be so cool. I hoped to do some thick luscious grass with nice plasticity deform following the boulders but I had a hard time finding a way to do it that my computer could handle. Nothing seemed to work the way I hoped, mostly due to my beginer skill level, though each set back was great learning experience. I might have been a little over ambitious here but a big part of why I'm doing the challenge is so I can get more comfortable showing my bad work. Supposedly being comfortable with being bad helps you get good, or so I hear hahaha.
