your texture is connected to openGL display only (for now think about it as a preview) but there is no any connection inside shader itsel (it's empty shader).
You also have confusing setup -
You have material connected on object level, material tab “/shop/Sign” that doesn't exists
You have also value in geometry shader (object level render tab/geometry) set to “/shop”. It should be empty.
When You select material you have to do it from object level (material tab) OR geometry level with material node (not both at once)
Try using presets from Material Palette.

$CY is a local variable for hscript only
You could use for eg.:

you could use hscript with string operations like
strreplace()
substr()
etc
for eg. `strreplace(chs(“../font1/file”), “.ttf”, “”)`
or python string operations:

Your point position need to be same as your desired pivot point.
Then You could iterate via every polygon (and every ‘pivot’ point) separatelly
I will recreate sample scene file as soon as I get home.

If you want to loose that edge you could use fresnel or dot product to check camera (eye) position regarding point normals of atmosphere object and multiply it with opacity.
