I am seeing some video tutorials where it shows how to create a VOP shader on houdini 8. In the tutorial the openGL tab in the VOP node is created automatically on houdini 8, if I try to do it on houdini 9.5 it doesn't create it at all.

I am asking this because I want to be able to see my textures on the viewport.

What I could be doing wrong? Is VOP shaders different on houdini 9.5?

They're no longer created by default. You can create them manually by choosing Rendering Parameters off the gear icon menu (of your SHOP). Then add the SHOP Options > OGL tab.
