Just downloaded and installed Apprentice this morning. When I click on Accept in the licence dialog, nothing happens. I left it running for an hour before killing the process. Anybody else seen this and if so what's the solution? :?

i'm getting the same thing here… installed like a charm on my macbook pro, but the windows 7 box is hanging … and i soooo wanny try this out

my licenses install fine .

the only thing that happens to me during install ( and might be useful to your case ) is that the antivirus asks me if i want to ‘permit’ houdini to estabilish a connection ..

i allow it , and the NC keys are downloaded .

Houdini has permissions to access and make connections on the Internet, but it's not working. The license server just hangs.

My guess is that you guys have some incompatible software running … eg.

Support asked me to disable my anti virus program, which in my case is AVG and also disable the Windows Firewall. I temporarily disabled AVG through the advanced settings and then ran Houdini. IT worked fine and I was prompted to allow Houdini access to the net through the Firewall. Everything is now working fine.

so that was it . ( i have AVG too )
