I'm not a Houdini ninja, I am using only non-commercial version, but I have spotted some strange behavior after launching Houdini 16, and I am wondering if it is only me or is it some kind of a bug?
First of all is strange viewport movement during rotation. Normally it was orbiting around, but now I can even do a double backflips. Orbiting movement is chaotic and have nothing to do with older versions.. Can I somehow change it so it behaves like before ?
Enough people requested being able to go over the y-axis pole by default, so the default was changed to allow that. To get back the old behaviour, where the view would lock at the pole, you can set Edit > Preferences > 3D Viewports > Tumbling Method to “80's Style Euler Tumbling” and press Accept.
