How to create HDA Camera from viewport?

Hi,

I have a camera HDA. How to create its instance from viewport's “new camera” menu replacing the default cam?

Check the script from the create camera shelf tool. It has a ctrl-click feature where it creates a cam from the current perspective view. I'm sure there are clues in there..
More code, less clicks.
